Barbara Luehring believes that when you do something you know nothing about you never limit your possibilities. Because you do not know that some things are clearly impossible, everything becomes possible. Using this idea as one of the guidelines for her life Barbara has mined gold in the jungles of Bolivia, studied all forms of natural healing, meditation, etc., started a nutritional company called H.E. P., Inc, (High Energy People) based on the idea that food is energy and not calories; was a stay-at-home mom for a couple of years; started, ran and sold Luehring Land Development, Inc., a heavy construction company that built roads, etc. in the Sarasota/ Manatee area of Florida. After selling the construction company, Barbara retired; gave up on retirement; joined Jan Smith and Associates, a personal training and development company out of Atlanta; left Jan Smith to write first book, What If; began facilitating small groups which focused on women discovering or rediscovering who they really were. Out of that experience she wrote For Mothers and Others. Continuing on her life’s journey, she started teaching and coaching at a small private school in Sarasota, Florida. She continued to teach part-time and wrote Play Better, Live Better with world class tennis coach Dave O’Meara. The book was an introduction to a completely new way of coaching. She continued with seminars, continued to teach, and became a licensed pool contractor and partner in a company that builds luxury lagoons with natural stone waterfalls. She is currently teaching, writing another book, running the pool company, giving seminars and enjoying it all.
