Who can learn this process?
Theoretically anyone. However, I have found over time that the most likely candidates are college students, young adults and people in their 40’s and 50’s. Perhaps this is because it is during those particular years that major life changes often occur and these years can be times of uncertainty.
Does it work better for women than men?
Interesting question. Women seem more drawn to it. Especially the women who are in their 40’s and 50’s. But the men who have done it have really used it with amazing results.
I am interested in learning the process, but I do not have any major life choices facing me at the moment.
Great. This is a process we can use every day. I use it to decide what I want to buy at the grocery store, or whether I want to go running. After all most of life is made up of small choices. Few of us realize that it is really these seemingly unimportant choices that really make our life what it is.
What if Soul Painting makes it clear that my present job is not the job for me, and that I should be doing something else?
The good news is that now you have knowledge you did not have. Just because your “vibe” says that what you are doing now is not a perfect fit does not mean that you quit tomorrow—although that is always an option. The more sensible route would be to start planning for that other job. For example, you might begin doing what you know you really want to be doing part-time—on weekends or in the evening. If the part-time enterprise is what you were designed to be doing it will start to become more and more successful and you can gradually transition into making it full time.
Do I have to use the process all the time?
No. What I love about this process is there is no “have to”. However, we have discovered that the more often you use the process the more powerful it becomes. It is really exponential. If you begin by using it all the time for all decisions, large and small, in a matter of a couple of months Soul Painting becomes a natural part of your every day life and the process becomes almost automatic with really amazing results. And if you use it only occasionally it will work for you on those occasions.
Can I use Soul Painting to tell what the future is going to be?
No. The process is designed to work in the present moment. Imagine someone gave you a GPS system for your car that was already pre-programmed with a destination that you could not see. As you drive along the GPS will say in its husky voice, turn here, go straight, bear left, etc. Each direction is given at the moment it is needed. There is no way for you to know as you drive along what your final destination is going to be or even what is around the next corner. But if you trust that the destination that was pre-programmed is the destination for you, then all you have to do is drive along and enjoy the scenery. And after all isn’t that what life is all about?
